&lt;p&gt;All projects will be funded to a maximum of US $10,000 per year. All&lt;br /&gt;
projects must be initiated within one year of the date of award, and&lt;br /&gt;

of FBF awards can reapply two years after completion of their&lt;br /&gt;

 <title>Improving Institutional Research in Postsecondary Educational Institutions</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The Association for Institutional Research (AIR), with support from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the National Postsecondary Education Cooperative (NPEC), sponsors a grant program titled: Improving Institutional Research in Postsecondary Educational Institutions. The goals of this program are to provide professional development opportunities to doctoral students, institutional researchers, educators, and administrators, and to foster the use of federal databases for institutional research in postsecondary education. The program has seven major components: &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;	•Fellowships for the National Summer Data Policy Institute in the Washington,        D.C.area to study the national databases of NCES and NSF;&lt;br /&gt;
        •Dissertation fellowships for doctoral students;&lt;br /&gt;

 <title>Atmospheric Aerosols &amp; Health (AAH) Training Grant</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;A new funding opportunity for new and continuing graduate students: &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Atmospheric Aerosols &amp;amp; Health (AAH) training grant for the 2008-09 academic year.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;AAH is a training grant for graduate students at UC Davis and UC Merced who are interested in any aspect of air pollution and its effects on human and ecosystem health.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ph.D. students in the Atmospheric Aerosols &amp;amp; Health training grant can receive up to two years of funding, which includes a 25K salary, tuition, and fees.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Seeking applicants who are, or will be, working in any field related to air pollution and its health effects, including the physical sciences, biology and toxicology, engineering, economics, policy, and other social sciences.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We only offer funding to Ph.D. students, Master’s students can also participate in the training grant and its educational components.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We would like to emphasize that we are especially interested in applicants from the social sciences.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Graduate Commencement Registration Now Open</title>

&lt;p&gt;All those who received graduate degrees in September 2006 and December 2006, as well as candidates for degrees in March 2007 and June 2007, are eligible to participate.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Candidates who expect to complete their degree requirements after June 2007 but by September 30, 2007 may participate in the June ceremonies, upon registration and confirmation by their Major Professor or Graduate Adviser.
