Atmospheric Aerosols & Health (AAH) Training Grant

A new funding opportunity for new and continuing graduate students:

The Atmospheric Aerosols & Health (AAH) training grant for the 2008-09 academic year.

AAH is a training grant for graduate students at UC Davis and UC Merced who are interested in any aspect of air pollution and its effects on human and ecosystem health.

Ph.D. students in the Atmospheric Aerosols & Health training grant can receive up to two years of funding, which includes a 25K salary, tuition, and fees.

Seeking applicants who are, or will be, working in any field related to air pollution and its health effects, including the physical sciences, biology and toxicology, engineering, economics, policy, and other social sciences.

We only offer funding to Ph.D. students, Master’s students can also participate in the training grant and its educational components.

We would like to emphasize that we are especially interested in applicants from the social sciences.

Deadline is January 29, 2008.
