Mia Karisa Dawson has been awarded a 2023 Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship
Mia Karisa Dawson was awarded a 2023 Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship at UCLA working under the mentorship of Dr. Kelly Lytle Hernández. She will work with the Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies, in connection with the departments of History and Urban Planning. As a visiting scholar, Mia will continue her research and writing about the intersections race, property, and policing in the contemporary movement for abolition.
